PONY
About the brand
Born in Manhattan back in 1972, long before anyone gave a flying swoosh.
PONY was founded by the Uruguay-born entrepreneur Robert Muller, a charismatic maverick.
Muller created PONY in his own image, which is to say it was equal parts energetic, rambunctious and oh-so ambitious. Within a few short years, this self-styled Yankee swagger had PONY strutting the globe at the vanguard of a new era of athletic colonialism.
Partnering with many different sports and athletes including the likes of Muhammed Ali, it became obvious that basketball was where the brand would truly excel.
With a reported 200 NBA stars on their roster at one stage, including such greats as Bob McAdoo, Cedric Maxwell, Early Monroe, David Thompson, John Havlicek, Darryl Dawkins and the all-time phenom Wilt Chamberlin, aka the Chairman of the boards, PONY truly cemented itself as a credible basketball sportswear brand.
PONY has launched on a global scale, with an expansive category offering across apparel, footwear, headwear, and accessories. A multi-tiered approach covering a vast number of retailers, including within Europe: Liberty London, Urban Outfitters, and Selfridges, to name a few.
Categories available:
Apparel, Underwear, Sleepwear, Swimwear, Headwear, Footwear, Kidswear, Hardgoods, Bags & Accessories.
TOTAL DOOR COUNT: 945 since 2023 launch
